Albert Pujols will start at first base for Dodgers on Monday

We don’t have the exact lineup for Monday’s game, but we have an idea of the eight players who will be starting for the Dodgers.

During his interview session on Sunday night, manager Dave Roberts shared some lineup notes for tomorrow. The most notable one is that Albert Pujols will be in the lineup, making his first start for the Dodgers this postseason.

LA used Pujols primarily against left-handed pitching this season and with Alex Wood starting for the Giants this move makes sense.

Some other starters that Roberts announced included Will Smith at catcher, AJ Pollock in left field and Chris Taylor in center field.

“It’s more of the mindset of give us the best chance to get a lead, beat the starter, and we can pivot out of some things,” Roberts said. “But I think that’s kind of the mindset, my mindset.”

Assuming the rest of the lineup the same, they’ll join Mookie Betts, Corey Seager, Trea Turner and Justin Turner in the starting lineup.

Game 4 starter still unknown

  • Dodgers won’t announce a starter for Game 4 yet. “We don’t know,” Roberts said. “I think right now where our head is at [we want to] deploy anyone and everyone to win tomorrow night.”
