Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah taken to hospital with throat contusion
INGLEWOOD, CALIF. — Browns rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah suffered a throat contusion in Sunday's 47-42 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and was taken to a hospital near SoFi Stadium, a team spokesman said.
The Browns sent Owusu-Koramoah to the hospital as a precaution and for further evaluation, the spokesman said.
A second-round pick in this year's draft, Owusu-Koramoah had been hit in the throat during the game. He played in the fourth quarter.
The Browns (3-2) had a bunch of players suffer injuries in their shootout loss to the Chargers (4-1).
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said cornerbacks Greedy Williams (right shoulder) and Denzel Ward (neck), right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) and safety M.J. Stewart (right hamstring) will undergo MRIs on Monday.
