A woman is facing charges in connection with a case of an unidentified child found walking alone in Pawtucket.

Daniela Peraza Lemus, 22, of Central Falls, is charged with filing a false police report. Her relationship with the child is unclear.

Police initially reported at 12 p.m. a woman spotted the child wandering around 6:30 a.m. near the Newell Avenue U-Haul. That woman, later identified as Peraza Lemus, claimed to be in an Uber at the time. Just after 6 p.m., police notified the public of the arrest.

The child, whose age has not been released, was taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital as a precaution. He remains in DCYF care. The child's parent has been located.

Peraza Lemus is being held pending an arraignment by a bail commissioner Monday.
