20 consecutive losses since last season

After Sunday's game, Coach Urban Meyer was asked to grasp the impact of the franchise losing their 20th consecutive game since last season. The Jaguars won their opening game in 2020 before going on to lose 15 straight games to close out the season. They dropped the first five games this season under Meyer.

The Jaguars are just six games from tying the 1976-77 Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 26-game consecutive losing streak, the longest in modern NFL history. Next week, the Jaguars travel to London to play the Miami Dolphins, who lost to Tampa Bay 45-17 Sunday. The Dolphins have lost four straight after opening the season with a 17-16 victory against the New England Patriots.

''Desperate for a win, desperate for the way they go to work each day, each week,'' Meyer said about his team. ''Desperate for a win. But we can't worry about the past, worry about the future, and a trip to London and try to get a win. Some guys are playing their tails off. But, yeah, we're desperate for a win.''

Jaguars Report Card:Here's how Jacksonville looked against the Tennessee Titans

Titans win again

The Jaguars suffered their fourth consecutive loss to the Titans since 2019. Jacksonville has lost eight of the last nine games in the series.

Another big game by Henry

Yulee native Derrick Henry came into Sunday's game with 1,013 yards and 11 touchdowns against the Jaguars after 10 career games. He finished the day at TIAA Bank Field scoring three touchdowns and rushing for 130 yards on 29 carries and scoring three touchdowns.

"Just sticking with it and trusting and believing in what we do, and going out there and finishing and trying to get in the end zone and score points,'' Henry said after the game.  ''And I think those guys did a good job with that. I just had to go out there and do my job.''

The Titans were coming off a 27-24 overtime loss to the New York Jets last week.

Austin's biggest fan attended Sunday's game

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Tavon Austin's mother, who is a cancer survivor, attended Sunday's game at TIAA Bank Field.

"It means a lot definitely to all the women and all the guys that ever had cancer. My mother and grandmother were two of them that beat it,'' Austin said. ''That was one of the main reasons why I played again, so she can come to the game and see her baby boy and take picture with my daughter. I think she's been out a year now.''

Austin said when he was in high school and college, his mother never missed a game.

On Sunday, Austin caught five passes for 54 yards against the Titans.

Season bests

Jacksonville rushed for a season-high 198 rushing yards and two TDs, marking the team’s most rushing yards since they rushed for 216 yards at Cincinnati on Oct. 20, 2019. Jacksonville’s defense totaled a season-high 3.5 sacks.

Inactives

Kicker Josh  Lambo, cornerback Tyson Campbell; outside linebacker Lerentee McCray, defensive end/outside linebacker Jordan Smith, defensive end  Roy Robertson-Harris were on the inactive list fore Sunday's game.
