The trustee appointed to Tom’s bankruptcy case accused Erika and her company, EJ Global, of using the funds for her lavish lifestyle and career. Ronald Richards has said that he wants the money back, so the victims can rightfully receive their money.

“I gave her a week to just voluntarily return the money, but she never did,” Ronald Richards told Us Weekly. “I can’t get into the settlement discussion, but we are trying to resolve the case with her attorney. This is the $25 million that Girardi’s law firm paid on behalf of Erika to cover her expenses over a 12-year period.”

Meanwhile, Erika’s lawyer, Evan C. Borges, believes that the television personality isn’t in the wrong. Therefore, Erika doesn’t owe them any money. According to the court documents, Erika was aware of Tom’s business dealings. She didn’t mind that he helped fund her lavish lifestyle.
