Britney Spears just received the sweetest surprise from her fiancé, Sam Asghari: a little Doberman puppy to “protect her,” although she has some growing up to do before she can take a guard shift. Sam posted on Instagram about the new addition to the duo’s life on Friday, October 8. He captioned it, “Surprised my fiancé with our newest member to the family,” then hashtagged the pic with #Doberman and #HomeSecurity.
Sam also revealed the puppy is named Porsha:
In the post, Sam is holding Porsha and talking to Britney, who asks, “Who’s the new addition to the family?”
“Her name is Porsha and she’s meant to unconditionally love you and…will be trained to protect you from any motherf*cker that comes around you with bad intentions,” Sam answers.
But it looks like Porsha is already sleeping on the job:
It’s been a little more than a week since Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, was removed as the head of her conservatorship. Jamie has been in charge of Britney for 13 years and controlled her estate. Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart is working to have her conservatorship removed entirely. The next court date is November 12, and Rosengart says he is also looking into “financial misconduct” from Jamie, who he alleges has “millions of dollars from his daughter’s estate.”
Throughout the changes, it seems like Sam has been a wonderful part of Britney’s life, and they recently got engaged. A source told People he has been supporting her in maintaining structure and health through it all.
“He is a great influence on Britney. When Sam is around, Britney’s days are very focused,” says the source. “Sam is very disciplined about working out and eating healthy.”
Taking care of a puppy is now their new project together.
