We have the morning inactives for this Falcons-Jets tilt, and the list on Atlanta’s side certainly is an intimidating one.
When they kick off this game in just over an hour, the Falcons won’t have their top two receivers, a starting safety, their punt returner and presumptive nickel corner and a useful player in their defensive line rotation. In addition to all those, they’ve decided to park John Cominsky and (surprisingly) Feleipe Franks, who won’t suit up this week after a couple of weeks of limited snaps at quarterback and tight end.
Inactives: Feleipe Franks and two members of our secondary will not play today.

Without Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage, the Falcons will turn to Olamide Zaccheaus, Tajae Sharpe, Christian Blake, Frank Darby and Juwan Green at the receiver position. Atlanta will likely lean heavily on the likes of Kyle Pitts, Hayden Hurst, Cordarrelle Patterson and Mike Davis today, with Patterson, Pitts and Hurst potentially splitting out wide quite a bit today.
Jaylinn Hawkins will take Erik Harris’s spot in the lineup, while Williams will be replaced by some combination of Richie Grant, Darren Hall, Fabian Moreau, and possibly Kendall Sheffield, who was activated from injured reserve ahead of this game. We’ll see who is returning punts with Williams out, as well.
Cominsky has been inactive a couple of times of already and Jacob Tuioti-Mariner is back on the list of active players, and the Falcons will add practice squad elevation Mike Pennel to the defensive line today. Franks will likely be active again when this team’s weapons are less depleted and they can afford to give him a handful of snaps in creative situations.
This is a tough group of players to lose, especially when you consider Isaiah Oliver and Cameron Nizialek also hit injured reserve after last game. We’ll see if they can dig deep and overcome those losses.

The Jets have a little bit of a depleted secondary as well, as they’re down one of their best defenders in Marcus Maye. Colbert, who had received significant playing time this year on both defense and special teams, is also out. Zach Wilson will be rocking with almost all of his weapons, with Kroft (6 receptions for 46 yards) the only somewhat significant inactive.
