Pets of the week: Snow White had 7 kittens. Jacc and Slipper want to be adopted together

JACKSON, MI -- The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Here are three of them.

Snow White doesn’t have seven dwarfs but she did have seven kittens. They have been adopted but mom is still looking for her forever home. Snow White is a 2-year-old dilute calico who came in as a stray. She is a lover girl who will win your heart.

Jacc and Slipper are best friend kittens that the shelter would like to see adopted together. Jacc is solid black with white paws, while Slipper is a brown tiger with green eyes. They are both males and approximately 8 weeks old. Jacc and Slipper came in as strays and hopefully can be adopted together as life-long brothers.

A meet-and-greet with a dog is mandatory. A cat room walk-through is available to test reaction. The dog adoption fee is $150 for medium and large dogs and $250 for puppies and small dogs, which includes vaccinations, microchip and sterilization.

Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat, $80 for two, which includes applicable tests, vaccines and spay/neutering.

The shelter’s current hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
