Buffalo Bills fan confidence hasn’t wavered one bit in 2021

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

Here at SB Nation, we’ve been running fan confidence results for multiple seasons. The Bills went from meh to magnificent over that time frame so it’s been fun to see fan confidence spikes over the years.

This season, there hasn’t been a spike or a dip. It’s been supremely boring, as the image below shows. 100 percent of Buffalo Bills fans have been confident in the direction of the team from the 2021 NFL Draft through their disappointing loss in Week 1 and all the way until now.

While fans of the Los Angeles Chargers have been similarly optimistic, they had a drop in Week 3 following their early season loss. Even the only undefeated team in the league couldn’t muster 100 percent of their fans’ confidence until this week. Buffalo truly stands alone.

Fans of the Miami Dolphins have fallen hard from their 93 percent peak after the draft to just 20 percent of fans responding with confidence. Conversely, fans of the New England Patriots and New York Jets have jumped up in recent weeks now that the Jets (80 percent) have their first win and the Patriots (84 percent) eked out a loss to Tom Brady’s new team.

While no team is currently in the single digits for fan support, the Tennessee Titans at 11 percent bring up the rear.
