BOSTON, Mass. — The Dartmouth men's cross country team won the New England Championship on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.

The Big Green finished the day with 60 points.

Senior Liam Jamieson paced the Big Green with a fourth-place finish. Jamieson finished with a time of 24:57. Sophomore David Moore crossed the finished line just five seconds later, finishing in eighth at 25:02.2.

Finishing in 10th and 11th place were freshman Albert Velikonja (25:04.9) and junior Seth Weprin (25:05.5). Rounding out Dartmouth was junior Jonathan Reid, who finished in 27th with a time of 25:24.

"We've been training really well and just needed a few things to come together to show it," Head Coach Justin Wood said. "Every Dartmouth athlete ran either a season best or a lifetime personal best for 8k. Liam Jamieson was a late bump up to our varsity squad and really stepped up to lead the team in his first race in two years."

Dartmouth heads out to Wisconsin to compete in the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday, October 15.
