BOSTON, Mass. — The Dartmouth men's cross country team won the New England Championship on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
The Big Green finished the day with 60 points.
Senior
Liam Jamieson paced the Big Green with a fourth-place finish. Jamieson finished with a time of 24:57. Sophomore
David Moore crossed the finished line just five seconds later, finishing in eighth at 25:02.2.
Finishing in 10
th and 11
th place were freshman
Albert Velikonja (25:04.9) and junior
Seth Weprin (25:05.5). Rounding out Dartmouth was junior
Jonathan Reid, who finished in 27
th with a time of 25:24.
"We've been training really well and just needed a few things to come together to show it," Head Coach
Justin Wood said. "Every Dartmouth athlete ran either a season best or a lifetime personal best for 8k.
Liam Jamieson was a late bump up to our varsity squad and really stepped up to lead the team in his first race in two years."
Dartmouth heads out to Wisconsin to compete in the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday, October 15.
