The Minnesota Wild announced their latest cuts to their training camp roster on Saturday and it included three names, forward
Adam Beckman, defenceman
Calen Addison, and 2020 first round pick
Marco Rossi.
Rossi, 20, was participating in his first training camp with the Wild. He played in three games, recording one assist and four shots on goal.
The Feldkirch, Austria native missed nearly all of the 2020-21 season after he developed a heart condition called Myocarditis following a bout with COVID-19. Rossi played in one game with the ZSC Lions in Switzerland's top division before testing positive for the virus. He was then cleared by medical staff to travel and participate at the 2021 World Juniors in Edmonton.
Once the World Juniors was over, Rossi travelled to Minnesota and went through his physical with the Wild's medical staff. It was determined that Rossi had Myocarditis and was shut down for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.
