LeBron James finally made his preseason debut for the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. LeBron's presence did not matter all that much for LA, though, as they suffered their third consecutive preseason loss.

After the game, LeBron opened up about his team's recent struggles. According to the four-time NBA champ, the Lakers are in the midst of a complete offensive overhaul right now:

“We pretty much have got a whole new offensive system this year that we’ve been working through over our practices since training camp started,” James said, via Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen & Roll. “It’s an adjustment for us offensively, just having guys in different positions, having guys in different places on the floor with our new look and what we’re trying to do.”

The Lakers are coming into the new season with pretty much a brand new squad. They are still in the process of trying to feel each other out, and as LeBron implied above, this requires time. At this point, the Lakers are still a work in progress.

“It’s going to be a process for us, but I think it will be better off for us in the long run. It keeps the ball moving from one side to another,” James said. “Not much with a dribble but more with a pass. And obviously we’ve got downhill attackers with Russ, K(endrick) Nunn, myself and Talen.”

Along with LeBron, Russell Westbrook also made his much-anticipated debut for the Lakers on Friday. It was anything but a dream start for the former league MVP, though, with Westbrook amassing a whopping six turnovers in just 17 minutes of play.

Be that as it may, there's no need to panic for the Lakers faithful. This team will get to where they want to be eventually. They simply have to.
