I saw this posted on Twitter but Adam Woodyatt is rumoured to be doing “I’m a Celeb”.

The article says he’s doing it but if it’s true, it will be interesting to see Adam doing trials etc :)

I feel really bad for him. Oates and Sen have ruined the only permanent without departure original. 😷

Feel bad for him?! He’ll earn nearly a 6 figure salary in the space of a few weeks, just for swallowing bollocknegse, whilst sleeping in an historic castle in the countryside of Wales. Save your sorrows solo.

Shane Ritchie sparked rumours by saying he couldn’t get in touch with Jake so he must be isolating already, though Jake is still doing theatre at the moment so Shane was talking rubbish in that regard

Not financially of course but as a professional actor who has dedicated his life to EE

I get that the show nearly tarnished Sharon, but I don’t think it damaged Ian

He's an actor. He will be pleased to get some juicy challenging material to work with. He would probably hate it if his character remained a boring old sod like Ken in Coronation Street.

I think it’s even worse for Ian. It’s going to be so hard for TPTB whether it’s this current team or a new team to write Ian back into the soap. Even his family seem to be okay without him

Why? It was his decision to leave Eastenders, and clearly, the coverage he’s got on the show, in the past year; with him taking more centre stage with the 35th anniversary aftermath, and the whodunnit, has favoured him massively, as it’s probably a factor in I’m A Celeb picking him up, which will bring good things for him.

I don’t see that at all, Ian was going to be leaving for an extended period of time regardless of how he left, not that his exit was that bad for Ian

I liked his exit at the tube but just can’t see him coming back without ruining three of the biggest ever characters on the show even more

It’s because he wanted to do pantomime, and who can blame him for wanting to try something new after as you said dedicating his life to EE. Furthermore, when he comes back, he will still most likely come back under Sen, as we’ve probably still got two more years of him as the producer of the show, I’d imagine.

He’s not under contract so has effectly left, I doubt him wanting to do theatre had anything to do with the current era lol

Hes doing a serious thriller, not panto. He's done that before

Hes meant to be going to America for his daughters wedding after the tour break s up on the 30th October for a while so not sure how true this is.

Jakes doing panto in high Wycombe so he would be doing rehearsals in November. I'm surprised he's doing that cos I thought he do im a celeb although recently things have been happening so may not want to be away for ages

It would be a bit early to be isolating already. It wouldn’t start until mid-November. Last years first ep was 15th November

You can do panto when you’re still in the cast of EE which Adam has done lots of times. He took some long term leave as he wanted to do a play not panto

I know I’m only putting 2 and 2 together here, but does anyone find it a bit odd how his 10 week break has now been confirmed to last at least a year (if not a lot more) even though his theatre show hasn’t even started yet (think it was delayed) yet Adam seems to be happily distancing himself from EE and has stated multiple times that he doesn’t even know when he’s returning, and he’s now going on IAC? Seems a bit out of character for him. It nearly feels like he’s purposely staying away from the show. It wouldn’t be the first time for a disagreement behind the scenes, and it would go some distance in explaining why all of a sudden Peter has become a 7ft younger version of his dad. Any chance he’s pulled a June Brown? I wouldn’t blame him to be quite honest. His character was dragged through hell during his last year on the show and if it was as painful to play it out as it was to watch, I feel for him. (again, purely speculation).

    🤢

Not even joking, but I’m not sure EastEnders could survive another two years of Jon Sen. It would be the biggest mistake TPTB have ever made to keep that man employed.

I’d be surprised if Sen was here for two years longer that’s a very long time to stay with an EP

The theatre run was meant to be October 2020, he was only going to do the first leg. Its the norm for Peter James plays to have a cast turnover in the middle, gaynor is only doing Salford after this break
I'm thinking due to the pandemic he just decided to do the whole tour,

It started in July, he has been posting images on tour and loads of reviews

I think Ian has been damaged since Lucy's death and he has never recovered from it.
