Britney Spears Welcomes ‘Newest Member to the Family,’ an Adorable Doberman Puppy
Britney Spears is the proud owner of an adorable new puppy.
On Friday (Oct. 8), the 39-year-old pop star’s fiancé, Sam Asghari, shared footage on Instagram of the couple’s latest family addition, a cuddly Doberman named Porsha.
“Surprised my fiancé with our newest member to the Family,” the actor and personal trainer, 27, captioned a video of himself giving the puppy to Spears.
In the clip, Asghari tells the singer that Porsha’s purpose is to “unconditionally love you.” He adds that the pet will be “trained to protect [Spears] from any motherf—er that comes around you with bad intentions.”
Asghari shared more footage of the baby Doberman in his Instagram Story. In one video, he howls at Porsha, who looks on curiously. In another snapshot, the puppy sleeps while curled up in his lap. “You’re supposed to be guarding,” Asghari captioned the sweet image.
Spears has been in a celebratory mood following the removal of her father as conservator of her estate. In late September, L.A. County Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny granted Spears’ petition to immediately suspend Jamie Spears as conservator of her estate, saying that having him in the role no longer served the star’s best interests.
Shortly after the decision was made public, Britney shared a video of herself flying a plane for the first time, noting on the Instagram post that she was “on cloud 9.” Later, she took to Twitter to thank her activist fans for changing her life.
“#FreeBritney movement … I have no words,” Spears wrote. “Because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!!! I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it …”
