Max Domi BUZZ OCT 9

Welcome to the 2021-22 NHL training camp buzz. With training camps open for all 32 teams and the regular season beginning Tuesday, NHL.com has you covered with all the latest news.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Max Domi will make his preseason debut for the Blue Jackets against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.
The forward, who had shoulder surgery June 3, took part in a full practice for the first time on Friday, but did not play in a 7-3 loss at the St. Louis Blues.
Domi said he isn't sure if he'll be in the lineup for Columbus' regular-season opener against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday.
"I don't know, we'll see," Domi told the Blue Jackets website. "I definitely had the first game circled on my calendar, but who wouldn't? I think that's something most people would say is unrealistic, but I don't think anybody can make that call other than me. So that's the goal and we'll stick to it, and we'll see what happens."
Domi scored 24 points (nine goals, 15 assists) in 54 games last season, his first with the Blue Jackets.

Minnesota Wild

Marco Rossi
will not be on the opening night roster for the Wild after the forward was one of their final cuts from training camp.
The 20-year-old, who had one assist and four shots on goal and was minus-1 in three preseason games, was assigned to Iowa of the American Hockey League.
Rossi, who was the No. 9 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, led the Ontario Hockey League with 120 points (39 goals, 81 assists) in 56 games for Ottawa in 2019-20 and was expected to push for a spot last season. Minnesota loaned him to Zurich SC of National League, the top professional league in Switzerland, because the 2020-21 NHL season was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, but Rossi was diagnosed with COVID-19 in mid-November after playing one game.
"He needs to play. He needs to kind of get back into the rhythm of things," Wild general manager Bill Guerin said Saturday. "The positive thing with Marco was you saw steady improvement in every game he played. So if he can just keep that going, that would be great."
Forward
Matt Boldy
will be out 4-6 weeks because of a fractured left ankle he sustained in a 3-2 overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday.
Boldy, who was expected to compete for a roster spot, had no points in four preseason games.
The No. 12 pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, Boldy scored 31 points (11 goals, 20 assists) in his sophomore season at Boston College before signing an entry-level contract with the Wild on March 30. He scored 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) in 14 games for Iowa of the American Hockey League.
Minnesota opens the season at the Anaheim Ducks on Friday.

Arizona Coyotes

Alex Galchenyuk
is week to week for the Coyotes because of an upper-body injury.
The forward signed a one-year contract on Wednesday after attending training camp on a professional tryout contract. He had two assists in four preseason games.
Galchenyuk scored 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in 34 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators last season. He scored four points (one goal, three assists) in six Stanley Cup Playoff games for Toronto.
Defenseman Kyle Capobianco is week to week with a lower-body injury. He did not play in the preseason.
The Coyotes begin the regular season at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday.
