Man United star Cristiano Ronaldo is off to a flying start at the club and it appears he would like one of his former Juventus teammates to join him in England. Per Calciomercato, Ronaldo is keen on seeing the Red Devils chase the signature of Juve and Italy standout Federico Chiesa, who broke out as one of the top players at Euro 2020.

Of course, Chiesa was a key piece of the Azzurri’s heroic triumph, scoring two goals in seven appearances. Man United doesn’t exactly have a lot of room for more attackers though, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already having a tough time selecting his starting XI because of the abundance of players to choose from in the final third.

Chiesa joined Juve on a two-year loan from Fiorentina and it’s believed that the Old Lady will make the deal permanent shortly. In 30 games for the Italians giants last term, Chiesa netted eight times and tallied eight assists. He’s versatile enough to play anywhere across the frontline, but it’s hard to imagine Man United making a move for him anytime soon.

However, when your best player in Cristiano Ronaldo is keen on the idea, you’d have to believe United will at least look into it. At just 23-years-old, Chiesa is young and coming into his best years of football. Depending on how the season turns, out, perhaps the Red Devils will try their luck with him.
