It's only preseason, but the Los Angeles Lakers didn't exactly have the ideal debut for their new dynamic duo of LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.

The Lakers fell to Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors 114-121 in a game that saw the purple and gold trail by as many as 22 points. Russell Westbrook in particular struggled mightily. The All-Star guard scored just two points on 1-for-7 shooting from the field with a brutal six turnovers.

But the Lakers stars clearly aren't sweating it. After all, preseason has zero weight and is just meant for teams to warm up before the real action begins.

Via Ryan Ward:

“Everything not going to be figured out in the next week or two,” Russell Westbrook said after the game. “We'll figure it out.”

King James echoed the same sentiments. The Lakers star knows that one bad preseason game means next to nothing in the grand scheme of things.

“I care about the practice scores then I care about the preseason games,” said LeBron James. “I don't really put too much into preseason, to be honest.”

The Lakers are 0-3 through preseason action thus far, but they haven't even had the chance to play all their stars together. Just as both LeBron and Russ claimed, there's no cause for alarm.
