Columbus Blue Jackets fall to St. Louis Blues 7-3 in preseason game

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) —
With the start of the regular season less than a week away, the Columbus Blue Jackets took the ice Friday night for their penultimate preseason game.

The Blue Jackets traveled to St. Louis and lost to the Blues 7-3.
The Blues scored three goals in each of the first two periods and led 6-0 heading into the third period.
In the third, the Blue Jackets out-scored St. Louis 3-1. Emil Bemstrom scored a pair of goals for Columbus and Brendan Gaunce scored his first goal of the preseason.
Columbus will host Pittsburgh Saturday night to wrap up preseason play for beginning the regular season on October 14 at home against the Arizona Coyotes.
