Diana Taurasi put on a true GOAT-like performance to catapult the Phoenix Mercury over the Las Vegas Aces in their do-or-die WNBA Semifinals on Friday. Several NBA stars like Dwyane Wade, Trae Young and Ja Morant were tuned in throughout the contest, and they all couldn't believe the intense back-and-forth that ended in a close win by the visitors.

Taurasi was phenomenal as the Mercury won the game 87-84 and the series (3-2). She put up 24 points and was clutch for Phoenix in the closing minutes, taking over for his team alongside Brittney Griner.

Midway through the fourth quarter, the WNBA  legend banked back-to-back triples to not only cut the Aces' four-point lead, but also give them the advantage after a poor showing–one that saw them score just 14 points–in the penultimate period of the contest.

Meanwhile, in the final minute when the scores are tied at 81-all, Diana Taurasi stepped up once again with a block on Liz Cambage and rebound to keep the deadlock.

The 39-year-old WNBA great put the team on her back and got the job done beautifully. Of course, as mentioned, it did not go unnoticed as several NBA stars heaped praise on her performance and the overall outcome of the game.

Trae Young and Ja Morant, for their part, called Taurasi the GOAT following her simply incredible performance.

Meanwhile, Dwyane Wade couldn't help but be ecstatic about the WNBA game and what both the Mercury and Aces showed. A'ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum combined for 65 points (with 20-plus points each) in a losing effort for Las Vegas.

Luckily for Wade, Young and Morant, they'll get to see more of the GOAT in the WNBA Finals that starts on Sunday. Taurasi and her Mercury will face the Chicago Sky in what should be another thrilling series of ccontests.
