It's no secret that Jimmy Butler loves coffee. During the 2020 NBA bubble, the Miami Heat forward ran a coffee service inside the bubble and charged 20 dollars apiece. And recently, Butler said that his post-retirement plans involve him in the coffee business. The man really loves his caffeine.

In a recent interview with GQ, Butler revealed one big reason why he loves coffee. The Heat star this about how coffee brings people together:

“The fact that you always have something in common with someone who drinks coffee. You just have to sit down and figure out what it is. If you’re in a coffee shop and you’re drinking, you have something in common with everyone else in there. It just got me to thinking, all the hate that people do around the world, why don’t you just sit down and figure out what the hell you got in common over a cup of coffee instead of stressing what you don’t have in common? I bet people would find out that there are more similarities than differences.”

Butler has always been someone who came off as very insightful and thoughtful with his words, and this quote proves it. It's nice to hear this from the Heat star, who has often come across as brash and abrasive due to his abrupt and messy exit from the Timberwolves and the small drama in Philly.

His second answer is also indicative of his personality, as the Heat forward said he loves the learning process in making coffee.

“The other part that I love is that it comes from all over the world. There are so many ways you can serve it—hot, cold, latte, Americano, cortado, put it on some ice cream: affogato. There’s so much that goes into making it, and so much to learn. Having coffee with people can lead to so much knowledge.”

If the Miami Heat win it all this season, expect Jimmy Butler to take his team out to a few cups of coffee to celebrate.
