- Donnie and Marisa shared why they absolutely shouldn’t date on the show while on CBS’s The Talk.
Longtime Blue Bloods fans have been rooting for Danny Reagan (played by Donnie Wahlberg) and Maria Baez (played by Marisa Ramirez) to date. While speculations have grown over the years, it recently came out that the show’s creators didn’t think it was in the cards. That said, they didn’t 100% rule it out. And so, speculation continued.
While diehard fans are typically the ones talking about the dating potential between Danny and Baez, Donnie and Marisa addressed it themselves on a recent segment of CBS’s The Talk.
“We’ve been told...we have a feeling on this and a thought on this,” Donnie began, telling Marisa to correct him if he’s wrong. “Will Estes plays my younger brother on the show and Vanessa Ray plays his now-wife. And they started as partners, and the minute they got together and got married, they don’t have scenes anymore. So, if they start a relationship, we won’t have scenes together and then I’ll miss my friend.”
“I don’t want to be here if I don’t have scenes with him,” Marisa added.
And that folks, is something we’ve yet to consider. That said, some fans have and still hope for a relationship to bloom. “Mannnn give us the Baez/Danny action!!” one fan pleaded in the comments section of the clip.
Will it ever happen? Only time will tell.
Needless to say, we’ll be in front of the TV on Friday nights, eagerly anticipating all the possibilities.
