Fans have loved Rowdy Tellez ever since he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in July. They loved him even more after he made a critical defensive play in the first inning Friday in Game 1 of the National League Division Series and then hit a two-run home run in the seventh to put the Brewers on the board. How long has Rowdy Tellez on the Brewers?

Tellez has just spent a few months on the Brewers. He was traded to the Brewers in early July from the Toronto Blue Jays. 

Has Tellez been on other teams?

Yes. He made his major-league debut in 2018 with Toronto after the Blue Jays drafted him in the 30th round with the 895th overall pick.

What's Tellez known for?

His home run pop, which was on display in the NLDS game. Eleven of his 72 hits during the regular season were home runs. 

The fans have taken to Tellez during his short stay in Milwaukee with chants of "Rowdy! Rowdy!" frequently heard at American Family Field when the 255-pound first-baseman comes to the plate.

He came to Milwaukee when there was a need at first base following an injury to Daniel Vogelbach and with Keston Hiura in a season-long slump.

He hit two home runs during a big series in July against the Chicago White Sox.
