Several WWE NXT stars were called up in the 2021 Draft including Hit Row, Xia Li, Ridge Holland, Aliyah, and Austin Theory.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com wrote the following regarding the call-ups:
“While we were told the Hit Row decision was made days earlier, those in NXT were not told, and nobody in the organization really was told anything, even if the switches based on booking patterns to an extent were predictable in most of the cases.”
The belief is that Hit Row will be babyfaces. In regards to Holland and Theory, the company is said to have high hopes for them and there’s belief that they can be future WWE Champions. Meltzer noted that Xia Li is on the main roster because the company wants to build a Chinese star.
