Watch: Klay Thompson slams down dunk at Warriors practice

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

As he rehabs an Achilles injury that caused him to miss his second consecutive season due to injury, Klay Thompson continues to show positive signs during his comeback.

Along with adventures off the court, the Golden State Warriors shooting guard has been busy with various workouts. With the Warriors’ training camp underway, Thompson has been on the court at practice in a limited capacity.

After going through different shooting routines, Thompson showed off a glimpse of his bounce. At a recent practice, the five-time All-Star threw down a solid one-handed slam dunk.

Coming off an ACL and Achilles injury, seeing Thompson dunk with ease is an encouraging step in his return to Golden State’s lineup.

There’s still no specific date set for Thompson’s return to the court for the first time in two seasons, but he has been active at the 2021 edition of Golden State’s training camp.

After missing two seasons with significant injuries, the Warriors will likely be patient with Thompson as he continues the final stages of his rehab into the regular season.
