Sox fans unhappy with La Russa's in-game management originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
The Chicago White Sox let a close game slip away when the Houston Astros put up five runs in the seventh inning to take an insurmountable 9-4 lead.
And now the Astros have a 2-0 lead in the ALDS and the White Sox are on the brink of elimination.

Fans are eager to look for a scapegoat, and they've identified manager Tony La Russa. There were two in-game decisions that really irked fans.
First was using Garrett Crochet in relief after he threw 26 pitches in Game 1. Crochet walked Yordan Álvarez and Yuli Gurriel followed that up with a two-run single to tie the game at four runs apiece.
The second was having César Hernández pinch hit for right fielder Adam Engel. Hernández struck out leading off in the top of the seventh, which is fine. The real issue came in the bottom of the inning. Hernández moved to second baseman, pushing Leury García into right field.
The Astros had already taken a 5-4 lead, Craig Kimbrel came in and a deep right field hit by Carlos Correa was misplayed by García and two runs scored, giving Houston a 7-4 run.
And Sox fans are furious.
