Letter: Mantra 'My body, my life, my choice' is a lie

Telegram & Gazette

In an attempt to discredit the Texas Heartbeat Law, most news outlets are reviving old lies about abortion. Why? Because abortion is a premeditated act of deadly violence. If decapitating and dismembering a living unborn human baby isn’t violence, then what is? Because violence is abhorrent to most normal people, to avoid public outrage and to pacify consciences, it was necessary to conceal it behind lies.

For example, the mantra, “My body, my life, my choice” is a lie. To those who believe this, I humbly ask, “How did you bring yourself into existence? Did you design yourself? Your mother’s womb is her reproductive organ. Did you ask your mother’s permission to implant yourself in her womb for nine months? The truth is: God created you. You belong to Him. He purposely designed your mother’s womb for your nourishment and protection. He chose your mother and father. With threat of eternal punishment, He commanded them to love you and forbad anyone to kill you.”

Another lie is the belief that women have a constitutional right to abortions. The word “abortion” is nowhere in the Constitution. Who gave them this right? Certainly, not God, who commanded us not to kill. The answer: Mortal men gave it to them; men who made themselves “like gods.” (see Genesis 3:5)

In wartime, people told lies to the enemy to avoid being killed by them — and to save the lives of total strangers. Today, we believe and tell lies to justify killing our own unborn children.
