Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley is already 33 years old and doesn't have much time left when it comes to playing at a high level. However, that doesn't mean he's not doing anything to extend his career and continue to compete in the NBA.

In fact, he has taken new steps this offseason to make sure he'll be able to play longer in the top professional basketball in the world. His new secret? Yoga.

According to the veteran Jazz playmaker, former NBA player Joe Johnson has advised him to do yoga this summer, sharing that it would “add years to his career.” Conley admitted to trying it and noted how it has been truly beneficial for him.

“I’m really feeling it,” Conley said about doing yoga in the offseason, per Eric Walden of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Maybe LeBron James and the oft-maligned “old” Los Angeles Lakers can also do it?

Anyway, Utah certainly needs a healthy Mike Conley in 2021-22 as they try to maintain the success they had last season and improve in the playoffs after their second-round exit.

The former Memphis Grizzlies star missed a huge chunk of the 2021 Western Conference semi-finals after suffering from a hamstring injury, so hopefully, his new way to strengthen and take care of his body will be impactful in his ability to stay on the court for the Jazz.
