It’s been a month now. What has been the point? What’s the amazing storyline that have come about due to her return?

Jon Sen and Kate Oates have a vision: Have something happen and no clue how to carry it out or have aftermath. Their time at EastEnders has been a disaster and should be cut short with immediate effect.

I could imagine what would be said on here if Janine had been in every episode, and dominate the show....

Knew they would eff this up, firstly, her return episode was an anti climax and random, is that the best that tptb could think of. it was just a matter of time anyway, Charlie Brooks should have waited for the next producer, not even over a month yet and already ruined.

Kat shouldn't of been involved, shes doing my head in, i hate custody battle stories

No you’ve missed my point. There is no storyline at the moment. Why not bring her back with a massive storyline. Instead we’ve had… nothing

The current EPs think they’re soooo exciting with all these returns but it always ends up being anticlimactic, they literally had to do a huge fire stunt in order for Janine to be in anyway interesting during her first week back. I love her character and I just hope it improves as time goes on, maybe when Stacey returns we’ll see the evil Janine come back to life.

There is a storyline, her wanting her kid back, plus Charlie is back permeant now, so there's still still for a big storyline, but I am surprised she hasn't been on screen more, with Kim especially.

Nobody cares about her child which has been yet another awful cast appointment from the EastEnders executive team. Janine's return has been an absolute borefest. Everything Janine is NOT.

Like all of Sen's storylines it's about creating "drama" for one or two episodes and then having no idea what to do next.

They brought Janine back as a walking meme-generator and that's all she will ever be while Sen's name is on the credits.

Agreed. She hasn’t been ruined as a character at all, as characters need screen time, to be able to have their development ruined. I think the return hasn’t been bad. The first week she came back was really good - albeit its not been great since, however, she could’ve come back, murdered someone, made enemies with everyone around her, and ended up being clobbered over the head in the show’s next whodunnit, which would’ve utterly decimated her character, and made her so one-note, so I’m just thanking my stars that they didn’t go down this road. It could’ve been better but it could’ve also been worse.

Jon Sen has no indeed what he is doing.

He is car crash of a Producer.

The two people in charge who have no vision or care for the show

He’s by no means the best, but he’s a damn sight better than those Emmerdale producers, who decimated Kim Tate as a character in the space of a week, by making her into a hitman ordering, gangster granny. At least Janine hasn’t been decimated as a character, but has simply not had lots of screen time. Thereby, it could be a lot worse, and given that the soaps will probably have a turnover of producers sometime next year or in 2023, then we all best hope and pray that the three stooges don’t saunter down South to Elstree, as then that you could kiss goodbye to EastEnders, and suddenly Sen will feel like a dream.

Kim Tate has been fixed since her dodgy re-introduction imo and is one of the parts of ED currently working well imo

I caught scenes of her the other day, and they seem to have taken her in the complete opposite direction by making her a whimpering mess. They can’t find a middle ground with villains. Plus, nothing will make up for how they knocked down a character who was regarded as one of the best soap characters of all time in the space of a week. Firstly, she returned from jail, after heading off in a helicopter on the run. What a damp squib that was, and was then made into a murderous gangster granny, with hitmen associates. At least Sen hasn’t done this with Janine.

I don't watch Emmerdale so I have no idea what kind of state it is in but EastEnders is in a bad way.

Put it like this, if you think EastEnders is bad, Emmerdale has the potential to give you a coronary, proven by how it almost did me the other day…

Yes, I was willinging to become a fan again when I heard she was back after all the years of hype about her but she can back nasty, caring about no one including her family, with a dodgy back story of her time away and then making no friends or referencing the past.
The whole murdering Joe Tate was the final straw.

Janine has come back broke, a selfish mother and is now scrambling to make money again whilst being horrible to everyone and befriending Billy Mitchell.
    I am so, so disappointed.
The best part of her return is her shouting "incest and stepping over Phil Mitchell's potentially dead body.

What a producer Kate Oates is EastEnders ratings a disaster and Holby City being axed, Hollywood beckons.
