On a pretty regular basis, Apple TV+ gives us a behind the scenes look at the various productions the streaming service has on tap. That includes plenty of interviews with the cast and crew of the hit comedy series Ted Lasso. But this one, featuring Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple, is a bit different.
For those who might not be aware, Variety has a running series they publish on their site and on YouTube called “Actors on Actors.” It sets two actors, from the likes of Robert Pattinson (The Batman, Good Time) and Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther, Get Out) and many others, in a face-to-face conversation about their careers, history, and more. It’s a nice way to get to know each person, especially as it relates to their work.
In today’s video, which Apple TV+ published to its official YouTube channel, it’s a similar setup. It’s called “A conversation with Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple,” and, indeed, that’s what it boils down to. Unfortunately, the only bad part is that it’s not all that long measuring in at just under ten minutes. You can check it out below.
But, the good news is that even in that relatively short time there’s a lot of information shared between the two stars. Temple, who plays Keeley Jones in the series, talks about the text messages she exchanged with Jason Sudeikis, who plays Ted Lasso himself, regarding the pilot episode. Waddingham goes deep, talking about moving out of her own comfort zones for the role of Rebecca Welton.
