We're four days until the start of the 2021-22 NHL season and teams across the league are continuing to prepare their rosters for opening night.
According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the following 12 players have been placed on waivers on Friday afternoon:
Sonny Milano (ANA), Brandon Davidson (BUF),
Dennis Gilbert (COL),
Jayson Megna (COL), Andreas Borgman (DAL),
Daniel Renouf (DET), Luke Witkowski (DET),
Chase De Leo (NJ), Michael Chaput (PIT), Juuso Riikola (PIT), Nicolas Meloche (SJ) and
Sheldon Dries (VAN).
All players on waivers yesterday cleared including former Montreal Canadiens goaltender
Charlie Lindgren, who's now in the St. Louis Blues system.
In addition to their placements on Friday's waiver wire, the Colorado Avalanche announced that they've released forward Artem Anisimov from his professional tryout contract. Anisimov, 33, played in three pre-season games for the Avalanche, but didn't record any points.
