Ever dreamed of living at the Rosebud Motel? Well, now you can buy both with the new Schitt's Creek Monopoly game.
The Emmy-winning comedy's official Instagram account announced that a new edition of the popular board game will be released, branded with the show's characters. “Introducing, Monopoly: Schitt’s Creek Edition,” they captioned a slideshow of images of the game itself.
In the first shot, we see Moira Rose (Catherine O'Hara) alongside the phrase, “They would have a virtual monopoly on this town.” The next few photos show board game pieces, including colorful play money, Moira's rounded sunglasses and wig, a guitar and even the hotel keys.
The game’s official description reads, “Join the Rose family on opportunistic adventures as you buy, sell, and trade popular locations from the show, including The Rosebud Motel, Bob's Garage, Herb Ertlinger Winery and more. Celebrate tongue-in-cheek victories with Hello You and Love That Journey for Me cards, while rent and taxes like Roland's Truck and 'That's Not a Write Off!' make or break your small-town struggle to come out as the richest little townie and win!”
Naturally, fans and followers were eager to get their hands on the new Hasbro game and expressed their excitement in the comments section of the post. One user wrote, “Oh my gosh! Today’s my birthday and I HAD NO IDEA THIS EXISTED. I think I’ll just…fold it in..to my birthday wish list,” while a second person added, “I know what I’m getting myself for Christmas lol.”
