Phoenix Suns: Final Depth Chart Projection for 2021-22 Season
Less than two weeks currently stand between the Phoenix Suns and their season regular opener against the Denver Nuggets. As their offseason journey comes to its end, the team’s roster looks more and more solidified with each passing day. Not to rule anything out, but at this point, Phoenix making any moves to either add or subtract players from said roster remains highly unlikely.
Having acknowledged that, it feels safe to roll out one final depth chart projection for this incredibly deep team, looking to defend its Western Conference throne.
But with the Suns returning nearly their entire roster from last year, very few changes from the 2020-21 depth chart exist across this report. This extends mainly with Phoenix’s starting five, which Monty Williams will essentially copy and paste over onto his team’s opening night lineup sheet.

Rocking with the same group which pushed you to the NBA Finals a few months ago feels like a wise decision to make. Whether this squad indeed achieves that again remains undetermined at this time, but whatever happens, the Suns definitely go as far as these guys take them.
Depth still matters though, and after this group, the Suns possess some exciting options to plug into the game at different times. Some bench pieces still returned from last year, but a few newer faces also jumped aboard.
