Five levels of drug addiction

There are many ways to measure things to know that at what point that thing can become excessive and at what point that thing can become too less. For example, let us use water as the example. Drinking 8 glasses of water per day is the bare minimum that humans need to function daily and if you are not drinking that then you are setting yourself up for future diseases as the water cleans the digestive track as well as the liver and the rest of the body altogether which won’t be happening if you drink less water. Therefore, if we drink more than 8 glasses, it could be harmful for the body, and if we drink less than 8 glasses of water a day, it could be harmful for the body as well.

This is why there are ways to measure the frequency of things such as drug addiction etc. It is there to remind us that if you are at a certain level, you will be needing a certain drug addiction treatment for it. Currently there are 5 levels of addiction to drugs, all of them need treatment and this is where drug rehab centers come in. If you need more information regarding it then check this website. You will find all the information there for the general treatment programs there.

Level 00: “Early Intervention” takes place.

This is the start of the drug addiction. Not exactly the start, but the time when the person does drugs for the first time. These drugs can later become something that can truly harm them for all the wrong reasons. This level is called “level 0” because in this level not much of a threat is there and it’s the start. The cure for this level is to get early intervention done to you.

Level 01: Outpatient treatment takes a hold.

This level is when the patient starts to take drugs a little bit more than occasionally. The patient in the Level 00 would have only taken it just to try the drug out because of being interested in it or due to peer pressure, but the person who is at Level 01 will be doing the drugs because they actively want it. Therefore, anyone going through these habits will have to get treated with the help of outpatient treatment program. In this program, the patient will have to plan 1-2 hours out of their day for the rehab center and get treated there.

Level 02: Intensive outpatient treatment.

There are three basic scenarios when this can happen. When the patient is going through the Level 01, which is when the drug addict cannot do simple tasks and instead avoids such tasks to do drugs. When every now and then you can see them doing drugs. This is when the drug addiction can evolve to Level 02 and their addiction gets worse and doubled. So, now the treatment plan for this level is intensive outpatient treatment program. This is basically a program that is simply an intensive version of outpatient treatment program.

Level 03: Inpatient treatment program.

In this treatment program, the patient just cannot function at all which is why they are admitted into the facility to be taken care of all the time. They cannot control their words and actions and need to be administered alternative medicines to combat the drug addiction. Level 03 is where the drug addict is just helpless and their family members have to make a decision for their treatment, you cannot wait for their approval for treatment.

Level 04: Intensive inpatient treatment program.

This is the more intense version of inpatient treatment program. When a person completely loses their sense of self, when their words and actions make no sense, and their treatment is not being done properly through inpatient treatment program, then intensive inpatient treatment program comes into the fold.

All these levels can help identity which treatment program should be for your symptoms. Therefore, go to a rehab center and get 100 percent confirmation of it through a proper checkup.
