MACON, Ga.-- Governor Brian Kemp visited Macon on October 8 and visited Famous Mike's Diner for breakfast.
In August, WGXA first spoke with Mike Seekins when his "giving board," which was intended to be a discreet way for the hungry to have a meal, started to cost him business.
In the latest turn of events, Seekins's efforts have attracted attention from the state's highest official.
"It's great. We really appreciate Mike and what his team is doing to help the local community and some of the local homeless population and keeping people fed. It's challenging times for some and good times for others. That's something that's been really interesting about the pandemic. But, we're grateful for what they do and the great food they serve," said Kemp.
