Lovers of the Red Sky seems to be on a steady note while dominating the Monday and Tuesday evening time slots. The series recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 8.5% on its episode 10 which was a slight downfall from episode 9's 9.6% ratings.
Lovers of the Red Sky is a historical fantasy romance drama based on a novel of the same name penned by artist Jung Eun Gwol. The renowned artist also worked with Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and The Moon Embracing The Sun, both adapted into hit K-drama series.

Lovers of the Red Sky Episode 10 sees the King personally informing Cheon Gi about her task to recover the portrait of the late King Youngjong. However, when she consulted her father about it, a strong opposition faces her. When the people around her advises her to never paint the late King's portrait, she found out that if she paints the portrait, something bad might happen to her as her father.
Cheon Gi fears that a terrible thing might happen to her and she gets scared. She makes an excuse to not continue painting the portrait even if she ends up disobeying the King's orders.
On the other hand, Ha Ram finds out that the Demon is inside him and was the reason why he oftentimes loses his memory. To ensure Cheon Gi's safety and avoiding the Demon inside him to attack her once again, Ha Ram questions Prince Yangmyeong whether there are other solutions to this danger.
However, Prince Yangmyeong warns Ha Ram to stay away from Cheon Gi until the Demon inside him is summoned and entrapped inside the late King's portrait. But the two disobeyed and still met at the Mureung Stream. Ha Ram asked Cheon Gi to paint him a portrait.
In the middle of them sharing a romantic time, Ha Ram reaches out an envelope with a boat ticket to Yeon for Cheon Gi and her father. Ha Ram says the two of them can't be together to which Cheon Gi felt disheartened.
Prince Yangmyeong appears with palace officers to arrest Ha Ram as a suspect for the murder of the palace guards in Mount Inwang.
