And that’s a wrap on Ted Lasso Season 2! After journeys through therapy, Coach Beard’s (Brendan Hunt) inner-psyche, Roy (Brett Goldstein) and Keeley’s (Juno Temple) relationship, and some truly evil plotting, the show finally finished their sophomore season with today’s new episode. Sure, we got an extra two episodes, but that’s still not enough of for all of us Lassonators, is it? We have all the news on Season 3 — from when we can expect new episodes to if its even happening at all.
Apple TV+‘s big comedy series has seen an eventful sophomore season on and off-screen. Along with all of Ted (Jason Sudeikis), Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), and Nate’s (Nick Mohammed) drama, the show faced a bunch of backlash onlineTed Lasso‘s own Roy Kent was also deemed a CGI person (which is false, he’s played by Goldstein), and thanks to the robot’s help, the show nearly swept every major comedy acting category at the Emmy’s. It also snagged the award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Who knows? The show swept several comedy awards at this year’s Emmy Awards, so Apple TV+ probably wants to continue the show as long as possible. But creator and star Jason Sudeikis has been pretty open about a solid three-season arc.
“The story that’s being told — that three-season arc — is one that I see, know and understood,” Sudeikis told Entertainment Weekly this past June. “I’m glad that they are willing to pay for those three seasons. As far as what happens after that, who knows? I don’t know.”

Get those tissues ready. We may be saying goodbye to Ted Lasso after the next season of the show.
