Beach Middle School Volleyball Recap

8th grade gold

Wednesday night, 8 gold volleyball dominated Saline in the first set, 25-13. They battled hard, but lost the last 2 sets, 18-25, 17-25.

Ella Root and Lyla Dabbs lead the serving with 11 each, followed by Bella Radomski and Sasha Henriksen.

Brynnley Lockman served and played her best game of the season. Hailey Henschel had a nice dig.

Karlie VanRemortal had a beautiful block.

Abby Lokers, Taya Hall, Emma Ruszkiewicz and Cailyn Jbara had great plays at the net.

8th grade blue

Chelsea 8th grade blue volleyball traveled to Adrian Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs started out strong, but just could not maintain and struggled with serve receive to pull out the win 17-25, 13-25, 20-25.

7th grade blue

Chelsea 7Blue battled hard during set one with multiple serves over the net against Adrian.

They lost 25-16 with good serves by Delanie Maute, Savy Burk, Melayna Minyard, Cece Delong, Camila Hurst, and Nora Grabarkiewicz.

The Dawgs had 85 percent of serves over the net for set one and 75 percent for the entire match.

The team has been working hard to improve in this area and the work is paying off.

Chelsea lost set two 25-18 however, good serving continued by Marie Maynard.

Set three was lost 25-14 as the Dawgs failed to be able to handle serve receive from the tough Adrian Maples.

Chelsea 7Blue will continue to work on communication in the court.

7th grade gold

On Oct. 2, the team competed in the invitational. The girls lost both matches, but Avery Scheffeler was outstanding serving. She served 12 points in a row.

On Oct. 4, the team lost both matches to a super tough Bedford team. The girls had a hard time returning their strong serves.

Grace Krugh, Avery Scheffler, Cara Kloos and Lilli Cope did a good job making good passes.

On Oct. 6, 7Gold lost to Saline, but the girls are getting better and working hard.

Grace Krugh had a nice hit. Alice Korner, Lilli Cope, Amelia Baker and Ruby Jackson all had great passes.

Avery Scheffler was strong at the net and in the back row with some nice digs.
