Huawei nova 8i and nova 9 coming to Europe soon

Huawei is not giving up on the European market and will allegedly bring two more of its nova series phones to the Old Continent soon. According to info from WinFuture these should be the nova 8i and nova 9 though as you’d expect both will arrive without GMS support like all recent Huawei phones.

nova 8i with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will reportedly come in at €350 while the more recently launched nova 9 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost €550. There’s no word on when we should expect to see the pair on sale.

Both novas will boot HarmonyOS 2 out the box and will only offer 4G connectivity. The pair offers 4,300 mAh batteries with 66W fast wired charging though that’s as far as the similarities between the two go. nova 8i is powered by the Snapdragon 662 while nova 9 utilizes a custom 4G-only version of the newer Snapdragon 778G.

Huawei nova 9 and all its color options

nova 9 boasts a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP main camera with an RYYB pattern. nova 8i offers a 6.67-inch LCD with a pill-shaped cutout for its 16MP selfie cam and a Mate 30 series-inspired back design with a 64MP main cam.

Nah, there are tons of things that play a role, the lenses quality, the sensor quality, the chip instructions, the software. All of those matter a lot.

Huawei can still sell a decent number of phones of their Pro and Mate lineups even without GMS thanks to their camera, but on mid range phone they got no chance without GMS
