COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A lot will be on the line Friday night as the Coldwater Cardinals will face the Harper Creek Beavers in Coldwater’s Homecoming game.
After losing 13-7 last week at Parma Western, the 3-3 Cardinals need a win to keep their post-season hopes alive. It’s also an important game in what has turned into a fierce battle for the Interstate 8 championship.
There is a three-way tie for first place with two conference games left and one game separates five teams in the conference standings. Harper Creek, Hastings and Jackson Lumen Christi are all at 4-1 in the conference while Coldwater and Parma Western are at 3-2.

The 0-6 Quincy Orioles play at undefeated Jonesville Friday night. The 6-0 Comets can claim the Big 8 Conference title outright with a victory.
The Union City at Bronson game that was originally scheduled to be played Friday night has been rescheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon due to the lack of officials available to work on Friday night.
In 8-person football, Tekonsha will host Waldron.
