Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler continues to prove that he loves having his new point guard Kyle Lowry right by his side. The two new backcourt partners for the Heat have been long-time buddies and, this season, they finally get to suit and play for the same team as the former NBA champion inked a three-year deal with Miami this summer.

On Thursday, the two were playfully at it again during their preseason game against the Houston Rockets. After Butler knocked down a tough bucket on two defenders, he appeared to have hurt himself and was limping as he walked by the Heat's bench. Lowry, who was on the bench, approached his teammate and tried to gently tap Butler's right thigh which just got hit.

Heat fans are hoping that the chemistry between their two leaders only continues to blossom and result in some wins for the franchise. There is a lot of expectation on Lowry as he enters his first season as a Heat after helping the Toronto Raptors win a championship back in 2019. After a lackluster final season in Toronto, the six-time All-Star is looking ready for his new challenge alongside Butler and the rest of the Heat Nation.

Butler, on the other hand, will also look to bounce back after a disappointing '20-21 NBA Season. After an impressive run to the NBA Finals in 2020, Miami couldn't figure things out last season and was eventually swept by the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs.

Rest assured that this new-look Heat squad is hungry as ever. Don't let their smiles fool you.
