    First Look at Shenmue the Animation

    Crunchyroll and Adult Swim have shared a first look at Shenmue the Animation, the new 13-episode animated show based on the Sega games of the same name.

    As mentioned in our previous report on our anime sister site, Nicchiban, the show will be animated by Telecom Animation Film (Tower of God, Lupin the Third: Part 5). Confirmed cast include director Chikara Sakurai (Magimoji Rurumo, season 2 of One-Punch Man), and executive producer Yu Suzuki (the creator of the games).

    Both Crunchyroll and Adult Swim are producing the show under license from Sega, and a premiere is set for sometime in 2022.

    The Shenmue III video game is available on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store), and PlayStation 4. In case you missed it, you can find our review on Niche Gamer here (we highly recommend it!)
