Eduardo Rodriguez didn't exactly turn in one of the most memorable starts in Red Sox postseason history.

The Sox lefty lasted just 1 2/3 innings, facing nine batters, in his American League Division Series Game 1 starter before giving way to reliever Garrett Richards.

Rodriguez allowed two first-inning runs on a pair of hits from Wander Franco and Yandy Diaz. He threw 41 pitches, 24 of which were strikes.

It was just the 10th time in Red Sox history their starter has gone 1 2/3 innings in the postseason, going 3-6 in such scenarios. The last time it happened was when David Price was chased after 1 2/3 innings in Game 2 of the 2018 ALDS.
