Ben Simmons has been rumored with an exit from the Philadelphia 76ers for quite some time now, and there have also been many teams linked with acquiring him. While there's likely a lot of different teams that the 76ers are in touch with over a potential trade, a franchise that has been frequently mentioned alongside Simmons' name in trade rumors is the Indiana Pacers.

A recent report by Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer revealed that the Philadelphia 76ers would be willing to send Ben Simmons to the Indiana Pacers if they were to get Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert, and a first-round pick in return. Pompey claimed that this particular package "should be enough" to get a deal done.

The 76ers have been adamant and consistent about not trading Ben Simmons just to make a trade.

With Simmons on the roster, they’re a contender for the Eastern Conference title. The Sixers are only interested in a deal that would improve their chances or at least keep them there.

That’s where the Indiana Pacers come in.

A league source told The Inquirer the Pacers were among a group of teams still inquiring about Simmons’ availability. Another source confirmed the Sixers have interest in Indiana’s Caris LeVert.

The Pacers shooting guard along with point guard Malcolm Brogdon, who Indiana is open to moving, and at least one first-rounder should be enough to get a deal done. Simmons will make $33 million this season. Brogdon is set to receive $21.7M, while LeVert has $17.5M coming his way.

The Pacers can provide a better package than interested teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Philadelphia 76ers were reportedly eyeing Malcolm Brogdon in a potential Ben Simmons trade, and other reports have stated that the two teams have talked about a potential trade featuring Ben Simmons and Caris LeVert. It seems as though the 76ers would be willing to accept a deal where both players are involved.

It makes sense that the 76ers would want perimeter-oriented players around Joel Embiid, and Caris LeVert and Malcolm Brogdon would certainly fit the bill. Malcolm Brogdon is known as a stellar shooter, while Caris LeVert has shown himself to be a capable shot-creator, although he's slightly inefficient. For the

It remains to be seen if the Philadelphia 76ers will accepting this deal or a similar one from the Pacers, or whether they'll try to find a different deal/different trade partner to move Ben Simmons. However, it definitely looks as though there is contact between the 76ers and Pacers about a potential trade trade.
