CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A Paralympian swimmer from the University of Cincinnati competed in Tokyo.

Lawrence Sapp made history in his first Paralympics game. He is the first to compete with a classification for athletes with intellectual impairments. He finished fifth in 100-meter butterfly and set three American records at the team trials.
Sapp is on the UC Club Swim Team and has endorsement deals from Degree, Toyota and United Airlines.

He was our guest Thursday along with Sadie Everett, who is with the Advancement and Transition Services Program at UC. In the video above, he sat down with Meghan Mongillo to talk about how he made history and what’s next.
