Trail Blazers Preseason and the NBA GM Survey

It’s a new season of Portland Trail Blazers basketball as the team kicks off their pre-season opener—and the Dave & Dia podcast is back! They can’t decide which season it is, but they’re here. Well, Dia is here. Dave was unable to record this week, so joining Dia for the second time is Dave & Dia producer, Josh Rodriguez. He may be a Knicks fan but we are pretty sure he’s secretly come over to our side and is rooting for the guys in black and red.

There’s a lot to discuss this week, with the season opener being the first game with a new coaching staff, and several new players. The rest of the NBA is already hitting Trail Blazers in the face (Hey Cody Zeller, that was not the welcome we hoped you'd have!), but the team is back. Dia is right back up there on cloud 9, win or lose, because it feels pretty good to see Damian Lillard and company on the court again.

Not only is there finally a game to break down, and new players and coaching strategies to discuss, but there’s also a new rule in the NBA, and a survey of the league’s General Managers. Spoiler Alert: The Trail Blazers are on it!

Dia finishes the episode asking outsider Josh what his read on the team is after only one pre-season game, and you might be surprised to find out that he put his money where his mouth is.
