Spice Girls’ Mel C is proving that she is a total boss on and off the dance floor. In between rehearsing for Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars, Mel filmed a hardcore workout. She posted a video on social media and we’re out of breath just from watching it.

Mel C. Posts Workout Routine Ahead of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Disney Night

Mel C. started the workout off lifting weights and doing ab exercises before launching into complicated stretches. She worked with an exercise ball and did burpees with weights in her hands. The 47-year-old slammed a weighted ball on the ground before finishing off the workout with a kettlebell.

“Even when I’m as tired as I am at the moment, a workout really sorts me out and I’m raring to go!” she captioned the video. “Nothing too strenuous today, otherwise I’ll be in trouble with Gleb. He wants me to save all my energy for those dance moves!”

Hey Mel, some of us can barely touch our toes! If this is “nothing too strenuous” for her, what is her normal workout routine when she’s not on Dancing with the Stars? Sporty Spice is partnered with pro dancer Gleb Savchenko this season. Her strength and ability to nail all of the dance moves so far has proven that she is a force to be reckoned with.

In a 2020 interview, Mel revealed that she enjoyed riding a Peloton as part of her quarantine fitness regimen. Ironically, she is now competing against Peloton trainer Cody Rigsby on Dancing with the Stars.

On Britney Night, Mel and Gleb danced the Tango to “Toxic.” The pair earned a score of 22 after bringing some serious spice to the dance floor. Mel celebrated making it through to the next round of the competition by eating a pint of ice cream.

For next week’s two-night Dancing with the Stars Disney celebration, Mel will be channeling her inner Mary Poppins with a jazz number to “Step in Time.” On Tuesday, she and Gleb will take on the Viennese waltz to Lana Del Rey’s “Once Upon a Dream.” Her obvious dance background has come in handy, making her one of the early frontrunners in the competition.
