The 3rd Spot, a fresh experiential dining brand recently named “The Eatertainment Concept of the Future” by FSR, has announced today that it has signed a lease for its debut location at The Works development in Atlanta’s Upper Westside. The location is expected to open in early 2022.

Inhabiting a revitalized historic industrial building in the adaptive re-use development, The 3rd Spot plans to bring cutting-edge entertainment to the Atlanta Market. The concept will feature 26,000 square feet of upscale entertainment options like boutique bowling, a classic arcade, billiards, shuffleboard, ping pong, and curling including a 4,000 square-foot activity-based patio with dozens of lawn games for adults. The games will be set in a unique space that blends elements of a bar, restaurant, beer garden, and social club in a vibe-forward environment.

The 3rd Spot’s unique culinary program will be centered around globally inspired small plates designed for guests to explore, share and eat wherever they are in the space. The food program that is being shaped through a soon-to-be-announced culinary partnership matches the indoor/outdoor design vibe at The 3rd Spot.  Additionally, the 3rd Spot will feature an intuitive mobile app that streamlines the experience and shortens wait times, making ordering, payment, and connecting pain-free.

“We’re obsessed with bringing a seamless, fun, and innovative experience to our guests from the jump with The 3rd Spot App,” says Chief Innovation Officer and co-founder Doug Warner. “The world is in a very different place than it was a year ago, so we’ve really focused on anticipating guests’ needs and redefining the traditional ‘eatertaiment’ experience based on where the world is heading.”

Specifically located at 400 Chattahoochee Row in Atlanta’s Upper Westside, the 3rd Spot will be a destination at The Works, owned by Selig Enterprises, one of the largest privately-owned real estate companies in the Southeast.

“We are thrilled to be home to the debut location of The 3rd Spot. The team’s mission of connecting people and building community is a perfect fit for The Works,” says Mindy Selig, Senior Vice President at Selig Enterprises. “We look forward to welcoming such an innovative and experience-forward concept.  It’s like nothing else in Atlanta.”

The Works’ first phase of an 80-acre mixed-use development includes retail, dining, entertainment, office space, and The Camp, a highly programmed green space serving as the heart of the development.  Additional tenants who have recently opened at the Works include Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Dr. Scofflaw’s Brewery, and Chattahoochee Food Works, a 31-stall food hall curated by celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern.

“Atlanta is a city with incredible culture and vibrant energy that we are thrilled to be a part of,” says Josh Rossmeisl, AMP Up1 Hospitality CEO and founder of The 3rd Spot. “The Works is an imaginative and ambitious development that will be a symbiotic match for our brand’s mission and values.  This is a dream location for us to debut The 3rd Spot.”

The 3rd Spot is planning to grow quickly, with another location announcement expected in 2021 and 10 locations planned in the company’s first 5 years. AMP Up1 Hospitality, the employee-owned group behind The 3rd Spot, has over 200 years of entertainment experience building and operating brands across the U.S. with notable related experience at Kings Dining & Entertainment.
