Lala Kent recently experienced an emotional first as a mom. The Vanderpump Rules cast member recently took to Instagram to open up about being away from her baby daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, for the first time.  

In an Instagram post on October 6, Lala joked about coping with “mom brain” and reflected on the mixed feelings she had about leaving Ocean at home in Los Angeles for the first time while traveling to New York to appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

The first-time mom shared a sweet photo of baby Ocean looking captivated while having a book read to him by one of Randall Emmett’s daughters.  “A few things. Mom brain is a real thing. You’ll see this in my captions and stories. I don’t spell anything right anymore. Don’t correct me. It’s not the* deep,” she wrote in the caption alongside a sly face emoji.

She went on to add, “The other thing. I left Ocean for the first time to do WWHL. I had the best time, but I did get emotional every FaceTime call and every night before bed. It was hard being across the country without her. But getting pictures like this made my heart melt & brought me peace.”

Lala shared some more details about her trip to New York on WWHL. “It’s my first time away from my daughter,” she told Andy, later adding, “Thank you for having me, I’ve had the best time. Best sleep of my life last night.”
