Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have shared a new video cutscene for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cloud Version, which is out on Nintendo Switch later this month.

This introduces Cosmo the space dog, with the cutscene taking place within his base on Knowhere where he chases his tail, plays fetch and growls menacingly at Rocket, while discussing a shared interest in getting to the bottom of the latest galactic mysteries with Star-Lord.

The former Soviet space dog serves as both Knowhere’s Chief of Security and father to a litter of Russian space puppies, and can use a combination of psionic and telepathic abilities to communicate with humans, raccoons and trees – allowing him to prove an invaluable ally to the Guardians throughout their travels to the deepest, darkest corners of space.

You play as Star-Lord in this third-person action-adventure game, whose bold yet questionable leadership has persuaded an oddball crew of unlikely heroes to join forces. After a catastrophic chain of events is set off only you can hold the unpredictable Guardians together long enough to fight off a total interplanetary meltdown.

In an original Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy story, you will use Element Blasters, tag-team beat downs and jet boot-powered dropkicks as you cross paths with powerful new beings and unique takes on iconic characters who have all become caught in a struggle for the galaxy’s fate.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cloud Version will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 26th October 2021.
