Millennials should get ready to relive their child this weekend, but Netflix has yet another Pokémon movie coming to the streaming service. Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle is a new Japanese anime film coming to Netflix this weekend, marking the 23rd movie in the Pokémon franchise. But for true fans, there can never be too many stories about the adventures of Ash and Pikachu.
Unlike the recent 3D computer-animated Pokémon film, Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution, Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle is going back to basics with classic 2D animation. Perhaps that will be a welcome return to older fans who know that sometimes flashier things aren’t necessarily better.
